Terms & Conditions

By using our services, you agree to the following terms & conditions.

1 Eligibility

• 1.1 All dogs must be up to date with all core vaccinations and boosters.
  

• 1.2 Up to date vaccination cards must be provided after each booster or new vaccination administered. Bookings cannot be confirmed until new evidence has been provided.
  

• 1.3 Certification from a veterinarian of a recent protective titre test may be accepted instead of a booster vaccination. The certificate must state that it is valid for the period of boarding.
  

• 1.4 All dogs must be up to date with preventative healthcare treatments, including worming, tick and flea treatments, evidence of this must be provided.
  

• 1.5 You must inform us if your dog has been ill in the week before booking or have been in contact with dogs who are ill. We are unable to take dogs who have been ill recently or have shown symptoms of illness in the last 7 days.
  

• 1.6 Dogs must be delivered in a clean condition and coat free of tangles.
  

• 1.7 All known dangers and past behaviours associated with your dog, including any history of biting or aggression, either to other dogs or people must be disclosed. This will not automatically disqualify them but allow us to make a more appropriate assessment to their suitability, this may include the requirement for an extended assessment to the cost of £25. The assessment cost is non-refundable.
  

• 1.8 We accept entire males subject to a successful extended assessment to the cost of £25. This assessment will monitor male to male aggression, dominance behaviours, humping or indoor marking behaviours. We cannot accept dogs who demonstrate these behaviours. The assessment cost is non-refundable.
  

• 1.9 Young dogs who have not yet been neutered but start to show undesirable behaviours associated with being intact will have service suspended.
  

• 1.10 We accept un-spayed bitches. However, we are unable to accept dogs who are in season or due to be in season during or close to their visit. It is the owners responsibility to monitor their cycle.
  

• 1.11 We aim to provide a stress free and enjoyable environment to all of our visitors. For this reason, dogs who are disruptive, aggressive, harass others or are destructive in the home environment will be sent home. You and your emergency contact will be contacted to facilitate this. Refunds will not be provided in these instances.
  

• 1.12 All known behaviours in relation to digging, jumping, humping or history of escaping must be disclosed. We are unable to accept dogs who are likely to jump fencing, dig under or look to escape or have any history of doing this at home. We are not liable for dogs who have escaped from the property by these means. If we observe this escape behaviour or believe your dog is at risk of escape we may end the service and contact you or your emergency contact for immediate collection.

2 Booking Conditions

• 2.1 If requested a 50% non-refundable deposit is required for boarding bookings at the time of the booking. Your dates will not be reserved until a requested deposit has been received.
  

• 2.2 The remaining balance for boarding bookings should be settled before pick-up.

• 2.5 Late payments are subject to a £15 admin fee.
  

3 Cancellation

• 3.1 Day care bookings have a 7 day cancellation before service start. Bookings cancelled after this notice period will require full payment for service.
  

• 3.2 Boarding bookings have a 14 day cancellation period before the first day of service start. Bookings cancelled after this notice period will require full payment for service.
  

• 3.3 Cancellations must be delivered in a written format, either email or text message.
  

• 3.4 We reserve the right to cancel bookings where false information has been provided about the dog or its behaviour.
  

• 3.5 In the event of any cancellation, the deposit is non-refundable or transferable. If sufficient notice has been provided and full costs paid, the remaining amount will be refunded or can be used as credit for future bookings.
  

• 3.6 In the event your dog is sent home early for being disruptive or aggressive behaviour, we reserve the right to cancel the booking. A refund will not be provided in these circumstances.
  

4 Emergency

• 4.1 Canine Lodgings will use all care to ensure the happiness, safety and welfare of your dog/s. If however your dog becomes unwell or has an accident during his board we will take them to your registered vet or our own vet.
  

• 4.2 You agree to be responsible for payment of veterinary fees incurred. We recommend that your dog is insured against sickness, accident, injury and third-party liability prior to the start of the board.
  

• 4.3 In the event of an emergency, we will attempt to contact you on the numbers provided in your onboarding forms.

• 4.4 If we are unable to reach you, or the matter is urgent, we will attempt to contact your emergency contact for authorisation if details have been provided.
  

• 4.5 If we cannot reach either you or your emergency contact, then professional advice from your registered veterinarian will be used in your absence.
  

• 4.6 It is your obligation to ensure the contact details provided for your dog remain up to date at all times. Any changes should be reported to us as soon as possible.
  

• 4.7 If your dog becomes too disruptive or is aggressive to the other dogs, they will be removed to their designated room until collection can be made.
  

• 4.8 You or your designated emergency contact must be available to collect your dog in a timely manner.
  

5 Service

• 5.1 You agree to supply enough food for the duration of your dog's board. We recommend supplying an extra day in case of unforeseen circumstances.

• 5.2 If your dog causes damage to the premises/home or personal belongings, other than reasonable wear and tear you agree to reimburse any reasonable cost incurred by Canine Lodgings in this event.
  

• 5.3 In the event your dog causes harm to another dog / person, either on or off premises, you agree to accept responsibility for third party liability for any medical bills or costs as a result of the event.
  

• 5.4 Day care operates from 8am – 6 pm
  

• 5.5 Boarding is charged on a 24 hour basis, day unless a day care is required which will be applied to the booking cost.
  

• 5.6 Drop offs for boarding should be made no later than 10am, if a drop off is made after this time, the dog must be suitably exercised before drop off and arrive in a calm manner to prevent disruption to the other dogs.
